A man bought a white horse for $60 and sold it for $70. Then he bought a black horse for $80 and sold it for $90. How much money did he make in the horse business?

The Problem:


There are 3 hobbits and 3 orcs who want to cross a river and one boat that will hold only two creatures. There must be at least one creature in the boat during each crossing. The number or orcs must never out number the hobbits on either river bank or they will eat the hobbits. How do you get all 6 creatures across the river?
